Baby on the Way

For anyone reading this blog who doesn't already know I thought I would announce that Damien and I are expecting a baby on December 26th!

I will be having my first scan on July 24th and I don't know yet if we will know the sex but I am leaning towards it. I will be having the baby at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital here in Brisbane. I have heard it is really good. And since I am on the national healthcare system here I virtually pay nothing for anything baby related which is nice!

I felt soooo tired today that when I went into work my boss thought I didn't look very good and asked how I was feeling and I told him I was really tired and he let me go home and so I have just been resting and taking it easy. I am into my 15th week and thought I would be feeling better but I don't quite yet.

I did get A LOT of clothes and baby things from my sister-in-law and her husband this weekend. That will help so much!! Her son turns one soon and will have grown out of so many things by the time ours is born.

Right now I am baking some French bread, listening to George Straight and reading a book my parents sent (that is really designed for Damien but I couldn't help myself). It is a good book and Damien definately must read it. I am going to attempt to make broccoli & cheddar soup for dinner to have with the bread and after watching Masterchef Australia we are going to watch a movie we have never heard of called 'Art School Confidential', some comedy that looked good at the video store. It is a nice sunny day here.

Well, I am proud of myself that I have finally managed to post a new blog. I will try to post things more often, even if it is short.
