Lots of stuff

Man! It seems like so much has happened since I wrote last and by now everyone has probably given up on even checking my blog site! Well, we got our house. There were foundations issues but we basically got them fixed. It is an old slightly lopsided house but we love it. We are still moving stuff in but have basically started living there.
My job is crazy busy with this HUGE conference we are hosting in Sept. It is only 4 weeks away! It is the biggest thing I have ever been a part of. Check out our speaker list on our website: www.japanmidwest2006.com
Damien and went to San Francisco and had a great time. I was the matron of honor in my best friend Heather's wedding to Jeremy Young. It was a beautiful wedding at a winery in Napa Valley and then we spent 2 nights in San Fran and hooked up with our friend Elaine who we know from teaching together in Japan. We got to drive down Lombard street in her car! I will be posting pictures soon of the trip. I am glad that we managed to just miss all of this new strict security at the airport. They showed people dumping our makeup and other liquids on the news at the San Francisco airport. We would have had to throw out our wine!
And on the not so happy side my Grandmother died this morning. It was a little shocking but her health had been getting worse lately. It is very sad.
And back on the happy side Damien and I had our immigration interview this week and Damien is now an official greencard holder! We were a little stressed and nervous but it went great and pretty soon he can start working. He will also start going to university soon!
So, we are really really busy and I apologize if I have not been in very contact lately. I can't wait til things settle down and I can have a normal life again!!!!!
